Sporting Fields & Centres

The Blayney Shire boasts a number of sporting facilities including a Sport & Leisure Centre and a number of grounds for AFL, Athletics, Cricket, Netball, Rugby League, Rugby Union, Tennis and Touch Football.  Blayney's recreational facilities are well known throughout the shire and beyond.

Ovals and sports grounds under Council's control and available for hire are as follows:
  • Dakers Oval, Blayney
  • King George Oval, Blayney
  • Blayney Showground, Blayney
  • Napier Oval, Blayney
  • Redmond Oval, Millthorpe
  • Lyndhurst Sportsground, Lyndhurst
  • Carcoar Sportsground, Carcoar
  • Newbridge Showground, Newbridge 

Council has amended the process for casual and seasonal hire of its sporting facilities.  Sporting Groups and schools should complete the appropriate applicable form below and return it to Council.  Once approved Council will issue a license agreement for the hire.

Please note that for community events, an Event Management Application Form must be completed.

 
All activities on Council facilities, including sporting grounds, are required to be covered by Public Liability Insurance to a value of not less than $10 million.  Council can assist with the provision of “Casual Hirers” public liability insurance for non-incorporated groups and individuals to protect against public liability claims.
