Panuara Road Heavy Patching

Road Graphic 320x240

Status: Main construction complete, project closeout in progress

Estimated Completion Date: November 2022

Funding:

  • $1,920,750 - NSW Government Fixing Local Roads Round 2
  • $49,250 - Council
  • $1,970,000 - Total Project

Project Description: The project involves heavy patching a 3.7km section of severely failing pavement, at 8.5m wide. The heavy patching involves stabilising the existing pavement layer and overlaying with a 250mm of DGB20 gravel and sealing. This project will provide an appropriate pavement strength for light and heavy vehicles (including B-Doubles) for the next 60 years, ensuring the Panuara district is accessible from the eastern side, allowing farm and winery workers to access the large number of farms and a major winery in the district. It will also ensure these businesses have access to supplies and agricultural markets, including the Central Tablelands Livestock Exchange.
