Stabback & Unwin Street Kerb & Guttering

Status: Unwin Street Complete, Driveway works in progress, Stabback Street to commence early 2024. 

Expected Completion: May 2024

Project Description: This project is to undertake the upgrade of urban drainage and road pavement in Stabback and Unwin Streets in Millthorpe, to address a lack of formalised drainage that has resulted in accelerated pavement deterioration. 

Funding: 

• $1,074,602 - NSW Local Roads and Community Infrastructure Program
• $136,900 - Blayney Shire Council 

Communication – WhatsApp Group

Due to the complexities of the project and consistent communication required between Council and residents, all impacted residents have been sent a letter from Council with details on how to access a street specific WhatsApp group. These groups will be used to update residents with the impacts of the project (e.g. access to driveways etc) and allow residents to ask questions or share concerns and feedback. 

WhatsApp is a mobile phone app similar to text messages but allows for multiple people to be part of the group. You can download it for free from any smartphone App store.
