Newbridge Winter Solstice Festival is a vibrant event encompassing the true spirit of mediaeval times. The festival kicks off on Friday night with a Mediaeval Banquet where guests enjoy a sumptuous feast, drinks and entertainment not to be missed.
Saturday sees the village come alive with the sound of a bustling street market, roving entertainers and jousting battles. Visit the Viking Village to step back in time and experience life as it was or learn the sword skills of the knights of the realm. There's something for everyone, young and old to enjoy. 
An invitation goes out to anyone who likes to dress up to enter our costume parade that is timetabled to start mid afternoon, with various prizes for participants. 
The festival culminates with the Lighting of the Wickerman at 5.15pm on Gladstone Green.
