Volunteer Recruitment Day
Blayney Shire Visitor Information Centre is looking for more volunteers. Volunteers provide assistance and information to visitors and tourists to our Shire to help promote our region.
In partnership with the Blayney Visitor Information Centre, Council is hosting an Information Centre Recruitment Training Day to encourage more residents to volunteer on Thursday 6 November. The day includes a training session about the region and FAQs from visitors, and a site visit to some local attractions.

Recruitment Training Day – Thursday 6 November 2025
9:30am – Information Session, Blayney Community Centre
10:30am – Depart for tour including lunch
2:30pm – Arrive back in Blayney

What does volunteering involve?
- Volunteers assist visitors by providing information on our region (directions, what to do, where to go)
- Complete some retail sales with arts and crafts on display (you can sell yours too!)
- Training is provided, join for our recruitment day, or can be one-on-one in the information centre
- Bring a friend if you want to volunteer together and make it a social outing (generally volunteers are in the centre on their own)
- All volunteers need to be members of the Blayney Arts and Craft Council to be covered by insurance ($10 membership fee)
Opening Hours (approximate)
- 7 Days
- Between 9am and 1pm
- Nominate when you want to do your shifts (no minimum requirements)
