Beaufort Street Concept Plans

As you may be aware, Council recently undertook community engagement with regard to future open space projects at both Cook/Beaufort Streets and alongside the Belubula River, in Blayney.

The survey yielded a total of 67 responses, and results demonstrate that the area will be used more regularly if it was improved.  The top suggestions for what to include in the space were:

  • Playground - 65%
  • Picnic tables - 61%
  • Public BBQs - 53%
Other responses included a pathway and fitness trail, toilets, community garden/environment space, learn to cycle paths, open space, shelters, sporting facilities/goals, disabled access/inclusive playground and mature trees.
Noting that the site is currently only an open paddock that is slashed as required; of the responses, 78% indicated they would use the area more regularly if it was upgraded.
Draft concept plans have been developed by an external consultant and Council invites you to consider the concept plans which are now available on the Councils website.
Should you wish to provide us with any further thoughts or information please write to or email Council on or contact Council via 6368 2104.
