Hay Bale Art Challenge - Winners Announced

Entrants of the Blayney Hay Bale Art Challenge will provide the thousands of visitors and cyclists competing in the B2B a scenic route to race on this weekend. As always, artworks were very creative with entries ranging from Oscar the Grouch to the Rainbow Fish as well as the B2B’s having its’ very own Hay Bale Band.

Now in its fourth year, Blayney Shire Council, the Blayney Town Association (BTA) and the local village progress associations of Barry, Newbridge and Hobbys Yards, proudly support the annual community event.

Winners have been selected for the 2019 Hay Bale Art Challenge. With 13 entrants in this year’s challenge, the competition was tight.

1st Place – The Last Hay Bale in Barry (#7) - Barry Progress Association

2nd Place – The Lighthouse (#2) – L & G Allen
2 - 2nd
3rd Place – SJS Rocking Coding (#6) – St Joseph’s School

6 - 3rd

The winners will receive a $300 cash prize, $200 for 2nd place and $100 for 3rd proudly sponsored by Blayney Shire Council. The People’s Choice Award voting will be open on the Blayney Shire Council Facebook Page from 14th to 22nd March with a $100 cash prize.
