Notice of Intention to Sell Land for Overdue Rates (s.713 Local Government Act 1993)
Notice is hereby given to the owners of the properties listed in the attachment that the Blayney Shire Council has resolved, in accordance with.713 of the Local Government Act 1993, to sell the land described and on which the rates in each case, as at 30 June 2020 are due.
In default of payment to Council of the amount stated in the total column and any other rates (including extra charges) becoming due and payable after the publication of this notice, or any arrangements satisfactory to Council for payment of all such rates being entered into by the rateable person, before the time fixed for sale, the said land will be offered for sale by public auction on Tuesday 10 November 2020 commencing 10am at the Blayney Shire Community Centre, Blayney. As with any land purchase a prospective purchaser should conduct their own due diligence and research including:

  • Availability of water, sewer and power connection;
  • Zoning;
  • Whether building permission is available subject to Development Application approval.

Properties are sold with the following conditions:

  • the property is sold “as is”, meaning no building or pest inspection can be undertaken by the potential purchaser;
  • no physical viewing of the inside of the property can be carried out; and 
  • all properties will be sold subject to any mortgage, lien, bill of sale, caveat, judgement, writ or other charge, agreement or process registered against or in any way affecting the land in favour of the crown or any crown instrumentality or person representing the crown.
