Project Details: Works have commenced in Carcoar Street, Blayney. A project co-funded by the Australian and NSW Government’s through the Fixing Local Roads program and Blayney Shire Council. This project will involve the reconstruction of Carcoar Street with the objective to improve the road surface, driveability; renew kerb, gutter and drainage and provide consistent road width and line marking.
Works for the coming weeks will involve installation of new drainage and stormwater pipes from Quamby Place to Stillingfleet Street. While the construction works are taking place we encourage people to choose alternative routes across Blayney as there may be delays driving through the construction zone. Residents will have access at all times, however there will be intermittent road closures throughout the construction period.
There will be a closure status of Carcoar Street updated regularly on this page and we will have electronic messaging signage boards in place to alert traffic of when sections are closed and what detours are in place for residents.
