People engaging in craft and hobby activities. We do knitting, crotchet, spinning, quilting, scrapbooking, needlework and many other crafts. Take a Tree Day | 6 August 2021
To celebrate National Plant Tree Day Blayney Shire Council will be giving away 500 native trees, shrubs and grasses for residents to plant at home. Qualified council staff will be available to offer advice on all things horticulture. Located outside the Community Centre from 8am - 12pm (or until stocks run out). Limits on trees per household will apply. Please ensure all attendees abide by COVID-19 restrictions: ensure 1.5m social distancing, hand hygiene (sanitiser stations will be available) and if you are feeling unwell, do not attend. Blayney Shire Council is bringing Australia’s biggest community and sustainability event, Garage Sale Trail, to the local area this November over 2 big weekends. This jam-packed weekends of garage sales is a great way to declutter, fundraise and meet your neighbours. Sellers in 2018 made an average of $309 at their garage sale and met 46 new connections in their community. Households, schools, community groups and local businesses are invited to host a sale or shop the Trail, joining over 400,000 Australians in this nationwide movement that’s all about putting secondhand first. For shoppers, Garage Sale Trail is a great opportunity to pick up a bargain and find something unique, all whilst doing your bit for the environment. It’s guilt-free retail therapy! Millthorpe Markets | 5th December 2021
Held twice a year in April and December, the Millthorpe Markets are acknowledged as one of the best in NSW with visitors enjoying great food, excellent stalls and a wonderful atmosphere. Undertaken as a fund raising event by the Millthorpe Public School P&C, the Christmas and Autumn markets are a great opportunity to combine shopping with a beautiful drive in the country and a visit to the delightful historic town of Millthorpe.

The Millthorpe Night Markets are back and bigger than ever this year! Head on out on Friday the 6th of August to enjoy a whole load of fun for the whole family. Sample some of the best from their local producers, wineries and businesses, all whilst soaking up the vibe with live music and fireworks. This year, there will be ice skating available all weekend. Exhibition: Living in a Frosted World | 6 August - 29 August 2021
Living in a Frosted World through the eyes of local artists. Join us for this year's Winter Fire Festival at the Platform Arts Hub in Blayney. An exhibition based on Central West artists impression of our local winter wonderland expressed through all types of mediums including paint, drawing and photography. The exhibition will run for a month from 6 August 2021 open Thursdays - Saturdays 10am - 4pm; Sunday 10am - 2pm.
