Platform Arts Hub Blayney is a regional art gallery and community hub located at the Blayney Railway Station in Central NSW. The continually changing cultural and exhibition program, showcases regional and local artists, meaning there is always something new and exciting to inspire you.   • Drought and Flood Response Recovery Community Outreach Event | 18th May 2021 - National Drought and North Queensland Flood Response and Recovery Agency A Community Outreach Event is coming to Blayney on Tuesday 18 May to provide support and advice on the drought and challenges like COVID-19. This event will bring together all levels of government, charities, not-for-profit and agricultural organisations to support farmers and rural and regional communities living through the immediate and longer-term effects of drought. Farmers, farm workers and farm contractors can apply for Rotary $500 debit cards, which provide a welcome cash injection back into the community. It is an excellent opportunity for farmers, families and rural communities to catch up with friends and neighbours and find out what support is available during drought and tough times. Come down to Blayney Shire Community Centre, 41 Church Street between 3pm - 7pm on Tues 18 May and say hello.
  • MS Mega Swim | 29th to 30th May 2021 - The MS Mega Swim is a fun team relay event where teams have a swimmer in the water for the entire 24 hours and compete for laps swum and money raised, in support for people living with multiple sclerosis. It is one of Australia’s most popular and fastest-growing fundraising events, bringing communities together. People of all ages and abilities can take part in the MS Mega Swim with each team creating a roster to suit each swimmer. Some swim for 10 minutes, others for 4 hours! The MS Mega Swim is a competition with points awarded to each team; 1 point for every $10 raised (banked funds) and 1 point for every 500 metres swum.   • Newbridge Village: Community Plan Review | 15th May 2021 - Blayney Shire Council in conjunction with Newbridge Progress Association invites you to come along and share your thoughts whilst we revisit the vision and projects for Newbridge. We will review the Newbridge Village Community Plan created in 2018 so that community projects feed into the new Blayney Shire Community Strategic Plan to be developed in 2022.
