The availability of appropriate land is important to enable a region to grow and meet its current and future business/residential needs.
Residential development Blayney Shire Council is currently working on a strategy to make more land available for residential development which will present opportunities for residents in the near future. This will include in-fill developments within the Blayney township which is popular with first home buyers and retirees. Industrial land Council has extensive reserves of serviced industrial land on the northern side of the town. The land has frontage to the Mid Western Highway and is in close proximity to the Blayney Intermodal Freight Terminal. The land being offered is fully serviced with water, natural gas, electricity and telephone with the site being connected to sewer.
The Department of State and Regional Development has indicated government support may be available towards infrastructure cost (e.g. the supply of electricity). Commercial premises There are commercial premises currently available within the Blayney township presenting opportunities for business owners to help address gaps in retail provision for example.
