Tallwood Road

Project Description: Upgrade of road to improve safety, drainage, and the resilience of the road network. 

Estimated Completion Date: May 2026

Works will take place along a 1.3 km stretch of Tallwood Road and will include rehabilitation of failed pavement, road widening, and the renewal and addition of drainage structures (culverts). These works are in addition to the recently completed clearing of roadside drainage. The location of the works is shown for reference on the following page.

Works are in progress commencing the week starting 23 February 2026 and are expected to be completed by the end of May, weather permitting. Tallwood Road will remain open for the majority of the project, with the exception of a three-week closure required for the installation of a new culvert. This closure is planned for the week commencing 13 April 2026, with detours in place.

Standard working hours will generally be from 6.30am to 4.30pm, however works outside of these hours may occur if required.

Traffic disruptions are expected during the works and road users should allow for minor delays when travelling through the area. While Council will minimise disruption where possible, please be aware that noise and dust may be generated from heavy machinery operating on site. All road users are asked to obey traffic signage and follow safety directions while these important infrastructure upgrades are undertaken.
