Ordinary Council Meetings are usually held on the third Tuesday of each month commencing at 6.00pm.
Council Meetings are held in the Blayney Shire Community Centre, located at 41 Church Street, Blayney, adjacent to the Council Administration Centre.
Members of the Public are welcome to both attend and participate in these meetings. With prior notification and arrangement with the General Manager or the Mayor, a member of the public can address a Council meeting personally, on behalf of a group of residents or on any issue to be considered by Council. A Public Speaker Request Form is available below.
Please confirm the meeting date and starting time by referring to the front cover of the relevant Business Paper. The Business Papers are made available to the public and media on the Friday prior to the meeting date. Council meetings are conducted in accordance with the requirements of the Local Government Act and Regulations and Council's adopted Code of Meeting Practice. All meetings are live streamed via the link below.
The Business Paper is available to the public and media by the Friday prior to the meeting date and can be downloaded below or obtained from the Council Office.
All Council Meetings are now live-streamed. Meetings will also be recorded and be available to be viewed after the meeting. Live streaming allows members of the public to view proceedings via the Internet without the need to attend Council meetings.
Council Meetings are usually held monthly. A list of meeting dates may be viewed through the Key Dates calendar.
Council establishes committees from time to time to assist the Council with the duties of local government that can be delegated to committees.
Council will, as required, hold the Public Forum at 5:30pm on the day of the Council Ordinary and Extraordinary Meetings. Find the application form, live stream and previously recorded live streams here.
Members of the public have a number of opportunities to put forward their views on particular issues before Council.
