National Youth Week
National Youth Week is the largest celebration of young people in Australia. Thousands of young people aged 12-25 years across Australia get involved in National Youth Week each year.
National Youth Week encourages young people to:
- share ideas
- have their voices heard on issues of concern to them
- showcase their talents
- celebrate their contribution to the community
- take part in competitions and most importantly have fun!
Youth Week also provides the opportunity for youth services, community organisations and groups to promote their service and/or organisation, group whilst supporting young people.
Small Grants Program
Blayney Shire Council coordinates the Youth Week small grants program. Council encourages non-government youth and community service organisations to apply for small partnership grants up to the value of $800. Youth Week is a great opportunity to work together, share ideas and establish partnerships with local services and Council for Youth Week. So let's come together to celebrate the National Youth Week.
Sign up to our monthly Council Connect e-newsletter for updates when funding applications open (generally in January/February each year)
