Barry Progress Association
Barry Progress Association Inc. was formed to be a caretaker group for the historic Barry Community Hall (formerly Barry School). It's membership is totally volunteer based and activities are held in the hall to bring the community together. The hall is also available to hire.
Meetings held throughout the year. Events such as Christmas parties, casserole nights, Easter egg hunts are held. The hall is also used for Elections.

Mandurama Hall Committee
Anyone interested in the community of Mandurama is welcome to attend monthly meetings as the Hall. It is a centrally located space available for activities including voting, meetings, performances, wedding receptions. It's here for all of us and we want to see it used as often as possible. You might have ideas, so come along and help keep our community space alive.
Meetings are every second Wednesday of the month at 1.30pm at the Hall.

The Millthorpe Village Committee is the peak volunteer community body representing Millthorpe and the locality of 2798. Our primary objective is to foster a collaborative community, enhancing the place we live and creating an avenue for local activities to be undertaken. Advocating for improvement to our place, creating and hosting events whilst facilitating local interests to build on our community is what we aim to achieve.
Meetings are held on the third Wednesday of the month (except January, April and December) at 5:30pm, CWA Hall, 21 Pym St Millthorpe. New faces, ideas and enthusiasm are always welcome.

The Millthorpe Business Committee is a subcommittee of the Millthorpe Village Committee. MBC Members are invited to attend meetings and join other business members in discussions around marketing, tourism, events, and other business matters. Meetings are held monthly at a local business. Newbridge Progress Association
Newbridge Progress Association, is a group of subscribed Newbridge residents representing the residents of Newbridge village and the surrounding area under postcode 2795. The NPA Inc. group with an agreed Constitution, has an annually elected Committee. The NPA members meet regularly to focus on discussing community events and projects designed to further enhance Newbridge village life. Following NPA meetings the wider community are kept informed via the Newbridge Progress Association bi-monthly newsletter.
Event Committees within NPA are formed to plan and coordinate the annual community events. Community events coordinated by NPA include Newbridge Swap Meet (February), Newbridge Winter Solstice (June) and Spring into Art (October).
NPA Meetings and Newbridge Interest groups are held at The Newbridge Community Hall and/or the Brian Bennett Pavillion which are located at the Newbridge Showground.

Craft Cuppa'n'Chat
The Craft Cuppa'n'Chat group is open to anyone that enjoys doing their craft while meeting together in the Millthorpe CWA Hall and having a chat & a cuppa. Knitting, crochet, patchwork, scrapbooking, sewing, embroidery, lacework are some of the craft skills that have been worked on by participants but it is the participant's choice of what they'd like to bring for themselves or you can learn something new. The Golden Memories Museum in Millthorpe has a number of volunteer groups each with a different focus and meeting times. Visitor Information Centre
For over 20 years, Blayney Shire Visitor Information Centre has been operated by friendly volunteers from the Blayney Arts & Crafts Council. The centre is open 9am - 1pm, Monday - Saturday (pending volunteer availability). Volunteers can nominate their shifts on the monthly roster and utilise the art and craft shop to sell handmade items. Those who volunteer a charged a lower commission. New volunteers are trained by another member until they are ready to do shifts solo.

Rural Fire Service (RFS) - Canobolas Zone
The NSW Rural Fire Service (NSW RFS) is the world’s largest volunteer fire service, made up of more than 70,000 dedicated volunteers right across NSW.
NSW RFS volunteers are ready to respond to emergencies 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, all year round, attending a range of incidents from bush and grass fires to house and structure fires, road accidents and assisting at other events like floods, storms and searches.
Volunteering with the NSW RFS offers you the opportunity to learn new and valuable skills that will not only assist you in your voluntary role but in day to day life and even your workplace. It is also an opportunity to meet people you wouldn't normally meet. For many of our members, it's also about being part of a wonderful tradition and an organisation with a very proud history.

State Emergency Services (SES) - Blayney Unit
NSW SES is a volunteer-based organisation that works with communities to prepare and respond to severe weather events. They are the lead agency for flood, storm and tsunami in NSW. The SES manages responses to these emergencies and help communities prepare through planning and education. NSW SES volunteers come from all walks of life, bringing with them many different skills, interests and backgrounds. They are united by the purpose of supporting their communities in times of need. |

Every 2nd Monday 9:30am: Mums and Bubs: an informal group catering for under 1 year olds, a safe place for mums to get out and talk to other mums of similar age children, have morning tea and listen to one of our guest presenters.
Every Wednesday and Thursday 9:30am: Birth to Kinder: A place for your under 5s to learn important life skills. Run by an Early Childhood Professional, we provide hands on activities for your child to use their imagination, be creative and explore, while you sit back and have a cuppa! Please bring morning tea.

The Blayney Shire Community Men's Shed has a focus on providing a venue where men's health and wellbeing is practiced while sharing in the production of projects for individuals and members of the community. With woodworking, metalworking, gardening and social spaces, the shed is open on Tuesday and Friday each week from 10.00am. In the warmer months we also have a walking group who leave the shed to walk around the streets of Blayney on a Sunday morning starting at 9.00am, and finishing with a breakfast at the shed.
