It is mandatory under the Companion Animals Act that pet owners ensure their cats and dogs are micro-chipped for identification and registered with the local Council. Learn more about keeping pets.

Blayney Shire Council operates Waste Disposal Depots at Blayney and Neville.
Waste Management
Blayney Shire Council operates the Blayney Waste Facility (BWF) located on the Mid-Western Highway just outside of Blayney. This facility is available to all ratepayers.
Wastewater Management
Blayney Shire Council is committed to managing waste responsibly at its Sewage Treatment Works and Waste Disposal Depot.
Working within the Road Reserve
For work within the road reserve (including the footpath/nature strip/road pavement etc.), applicants or their appointed agents must apply for a Road Opening Permit.
