Burial Types Available

While natural grass, general and religious denomination sections are traditionally used for burials; the graves can also accommodate cremated remains (interment of ashes). Allowing family members with different needs to be together. Each current section has different memorial options to meet different religious, cultural and personal preferences.

Memorials and plaques are not included in the cost of the plot. All memorial components must be organised through a Funeral Director or Stone Mason. Lawn (Natural Grass)–Refers to the area of the cemetery that includes a concrete plinth (the type of plinth differs between cemeteries). Memorials erected in this area need to be in keeping with its surrounding interments albeit a concrete plinth (already existing) with bronze plaque (family to provide) or granite headstone (already existing) with bronze plaque (family to provide).

Lawn Section’s: are a natural grass section, which do not have artificial watering systems and do not have non-native grasses added. Their condition and presentation is influenced and dependant on the natural elements and climatic conditions.

General - The general section has the benefits of natural grass  cemeteries while giving families the option to erect a more substantial monument if they desire. Memorials erected in this area need to be in keeping with its surrounding interments. Options include but are not limited to a headstone, single monument or double monument. Please contact a Stone Mason to assist you with creating a fitting tribute to your loved one. (depending on the cemetery it may be predominantly native grassland and pasture grasses)

Religious denominations – Religious denominations are the same provisions as the general section but is defined by religious denominations (Roman Catholic, Anglican/Church of England, Presbyterian, Methodist/Uniting Church, Muslim)

Niche walls – Are bricked walls individual recesses for the interment of ashes which can be facilitated by a Stone Mason. Niche wall plaques are to be a 135x135mm (8 line) bronze plaque that can be ordered through Phoenix Foundry.
