Woolcraft and Hobby Group | Fortnightly Mondays
People engaging in craft and hobby activities. We do knitting, crotchet, spinning, quilting, scrapbooking, needlework and many other crafts. Platform Blayney Arts Hub
Textures of One | 9th - 30th April 2021
Textures of One is the inaugural art competition and exhibition for Platform Arts Hub Blayney. The event opens at Blayney Railway Station on the 9 April and runs for 4 weeks, closing on the 30 April. The theme this year is 'Steam" which pays homage to the iconic platform and railway station recently restored by Sydney Trains. We hope the exhibition will present an opportunity for art and rail enthusiasts to visit our area. Blayney Anglican Book Fair and Trading Table | 23rd - 24th April 2021
The Book Fair will be held on Friday 16 and Saturday 17 and Friday 23 and Saturday 24 and will once again have thousands of books including children's, fiction, and non-fiction for sale. 2021 Country Classic Polo Tournament | 24th - 25th April 2021 New
The Millamolong Polo Country Classic Tournament is back for 2021! Everyone is invited to come and watch some exciting polo in the beautiful setting of Millamolong. There will be food and drinks available all day, including dinner, Licensed Bar, and Music on the Saturday night. Polo games will be played over the 2 days with the Finals taking place on Sunday. ANZAC Day Services | 25th April 2021 New
For ANZAC Day this year, participating in marches will be for veterans only. Everyone is welcome but please respect the Covid-19 guidelines which in place. The Blayney RSL Sub-branch encourage people to do like last year by "Light the Dawn" on their driveway at 6am. Newbridge Village: Community Plan Review | 15th May 2021 New
Blayney Shire Council in conjunction with Newbridge Progress Association invites you to come along and share your thoughts whilst we revisit the vision and projects for Newbridge. We will review the Newbridge Village Community Plan created in 2018 so that community projects feed into the new Blayney Shire Community Strategic Plan to be developed in 2022. Drought and Flood Response Recovery Community Outreach Event | 18th May 2021 New
National Drought and North Queensland Flood Response and Recovery Agency A Community Outreach Event is coming to Blayney on Tuesday 18 May to provide support and advice on the drought and challenges like COVID-19. This event will bring together all levels of government, charities, not-for-profit and agricultural organisations to support farmers and rural and regional communities living through the immediate and longer-term effects of drought. Farmers, farm workers and farm contractors can apply for Rotary $500 debit cards, which provide a welcome cash injection back into the community. It is an excellent opportunity for farmers, families and rural communities to catch up with friends and neighbours and find out what support is available during drought and tough times. Come down to Blayney Shire Community Centre, 41 Church Street between 3pm - 7pm on Tues 18 May and say hello.

Service NSW Mobile Service Centre Blayney | 19th May 2021 New
The Service NSW Mobile Service Centres offer similar services to physical sites including: Driver licence, photo card applications and renewals, Driver Knowledge Tests, Working With Children Check applications, Applying for birth, death and marriage certificates, Cost of Living service to access more than 70 government rebates and savings. The Van comes to Blayney Community Centre Carpark approximately every 2 months. Check here for future dates. Opening hours for Blayney are 8:30am – 3:30pm.

MS Mega Swim | 29th to 30th May 2021 New
The MS Mega Swim is a fun team relay event where teams have a swimmer in the water for the entire 24 hours and compete for laps swum and money raised, in support for people living with multiple sclerosis. It is one of Australia’s most popular and fastest-growing fundraising events, bringing communities together. People of all ages and abilities can take part in the MS Mega Swim with each team creating a roster to suit each swimmer. Some swim for 10 minutes, others for 4 hours! The MS Mega Swim is a competition with points awarded to each team; 1 point for every $10 raised (banked funds) and 1 point for every 500 metres swum.
