NSW Planning Portal – Mandatory Use

The NSW Planning Portal is a digital space where community, industry and government are working together to better understand and meet their obligations under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979 and has been operational in the Blayney Shire since January. 

From 1 July 2021, the NSW Government has mandated that all applications under the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act 1979, including post consent certificate applications (e.g. construction certificates) must be submitted online through the NSW Planning Portal at www.planningportal.nsw.gov.au. Unfortunately, Council will no longer be able to accept paper documentation lodged over the counter or emailed documentation in relation applications.
